Zacks Investment Research is a leading Chicago-based provider of independent investment research. Our History & Founder
The company was founded by Len Zacks, a Ph.D. from MIT. While conducting research in the 1970s, Len Zacks discovered a significant correlation between company earnings changes and stock price movements. He found that stocks with upwardly revised earnings estimates consistently outperformed the market. This discovery led to the creation of the Zacks Rank stock-rating system, which remains the core of the firm’s philosophy today.
