COD still dominates Pakistani e-commerce, but every serious store eventually adds at least one online payment option — mainly to reduce fake and abandoned COD orders. Here's how the common options actually differ.
Backed by Jazz's mobile wallet network, JazzCash has one of the largest user bases in Pakistan, particularly outside major cities. Integration is well-documented for WooCommerce and custom builds, with settlement typically landing in a local bank account.
Telenor's Easypaisa competes closely with JazzCash on reach, with strong adoption in both wallet and over-the-counter payments. Many stores run both JazzCash and Easypaisa side by side rather than picking one, since customer wallet preference varies by region.
Stripe isn't directly available to Pakistani business bank accounts without an offshore entity — which is exactly why our own company is a US-registered LLC, and part of why we can offer Stripe integration to clients who need to bill international customers in USD. For stores selling primarily to local customers, JazzCash or Easypaisa usually make more practical sense.
PayPal remains restricted for direct business use inside Pakistan, so it's typically routed through a similar offshore-entity structure — relevant mainly for stores with an international customer base rather than local sales.
For a store selling primarily within Pakistan: JazzCash and/or Easypaisa alongside COD, so customers get a familiar wallet option without losing the fallback COD provides. For stores billing international clients: Stripe or PayPal through a properly structured entity.
We handle the integration end to end as part of our Payment Gateway Integration service — see the projected impact on your own numbers with our COD savings calculator.
Cash-on-delivery still drives most online sales in Pakistan — and most of the wasted courier trips. Here's what actually works.
